Focus on the Eternal
James 3:6
And among all the parts of the body, the tongue is a flame of fire. It is a whole world of wickedness, corrupting your entire body. It can set your whole life on fire, for it is set on fire by hell itself.
Do not argue about things that are not important. Family, businesses, friendships, churches, can all be torn apart. And everybody has a right to their own opinion. If you are a believer, you belong to Christ and should try to follow His leading. But even as believers, we miss it sometimes.
You have personal choice. Don't try to convince anyone about things that are NOT ETERNAL. It is not worth losing your friendships and relationships on things that do not have an eternal impact.
James 3:17 NLT
17 But the wisdom from above is first of all pure.
It is also peace, loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others.
It is full of mercy and the fruit of good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere.
